Just some random thoughts . . .

The past week or so I have been thinking a lot about what I want to do this year. I have so many ideas and even the supplies but I don't have time. I am always carrying a book with me for those moments when I need to wait for something or stand in a line at the post office. At home I'm also stitching, sewing or reading if I have any spare moments. But there is also work and after work there's making dinner, on the weekends it's cleaning etc. I think what I need is some sort of time managing strategy what would work for me. We'll see how that works :)

This year I have also taken part in this reading challenge. At the end of 2012 all the participants had to choose 12 books (you can't change the books later) they would read in 2013 and review them on their web page. The participants compete for the grand year prize and monthly prizes also. I hove this will help me read more books that I own (and that is a lot).  Your can read about it here.

So at the moment I am stitching a gift for my brother for his wedding. And it's very soon! I do hope that I'll be on time. I'll show it whne I'm finished :)

2012 - 2013

2012 has been a good year. I read 31 books. But in 2013 I'm planning to read only 25, because I don't think I'll have as much time and I chose longer books. Also I made a lot of bags and makeup bags. So in general I'm happy with that. Thought for 2013 I'm planning to go back to stitching. I need to finish the A. Mucha painting and a gift for my brothers wedding:)

Here is a pillow that I made for our living room. It's stitched on natural Lithuanian linen and I used Christmas themed cotton.

And two new makeup bags. I tried a new pattern for the first one.

Updating and relaxing

Just some photos from my weekend. It was really nice and relaxing. Spend some time at home and at the countryside. Though it is cold already it's soooo nice to light up the fireplace there and just relax, reed a good book (Divergent), do some stitching.

At the moment I'm sewing squares for my quilt :) It's far from good, but I'm not going to give up - I will finish it :)

Just a few things I made at the end of summer. And now I'm looking for some ideas for Christmas gifts.

Summer and my Book Haul

At summer when it's hot I don't feel like sewing or cross stitching... That's why I have decided to stop posting my TUSAL's. I'm going to be honest I haven't made a single stitch in all this time. So  think I'll get back to that in autumn.

But so far I have been reading a lot of books this year. For a few years period I have read  very little, so because of that I thought it would be great if I could read 5 books this year. But you know what???? So far I have already read theoretically 15 books and practically 16. That is because here in Lithuania S. King "Lisey's Story" is in two separate volumes. So I have increased my goodreads challenge up to 25 books for 2012. If you want feel free to add me in goodreads

Also I have been watching a whole lot of booktubers. I have a few of my favorites, maybe I'll talk about them some time later (maybeeee).  Mostly I love to watch book hauls. So I'm going to show some of the book that I have bought this month.

So I got 4 books from a used book store only for about 8 euros (28 Lt). I was so happy because I found two Stephen King books that were already out of print. I collect S. king books:)
