Cross Stitch and HAED Haul

When I saw the HAED sale I thought that it's time to buy a few :) I bought this little owl , she is so cute! And also Mini Alice .

I need a break from my Revelation piece so I will start off with the little owl :) The colors of DMC floss are amazing! I also needed a new DMC box.

Sewing and cross stitching update

Here are some pictures of my recent sewing projects. My colleague from work got the orange bag. She fell in love as soon as she saw it :)

And then the same colleague asked if I could cross stitch something for here. So here it is. I don't have a framed picture, because I gave it to her and she ordered the frame herself.

My very first HAED

So I have finished my A. Mucha project, but I don't have it framed yet. I will show some pictures once I have it done.

And next I have started a Heaven And Earth Design. It's called Revelation, designed by Michele Sayetta. And the art work is by Sheila Wolk. This piece has 90 colors in it and it looks like this

I started it on 2013 04 22. Here is how much I have on 05 07

Back to things

I haven't posted in a very long time. Time just flew by and I didn't even notice. But during this time I attended my brothers wedding, it was sooo nice. I even caught the bridal bouquet ( second time in a year) :)

I have also been reading a lot. I managed to read 4 book in a months time. And that is all thanks to my Kindle Paperwhite. I got it exactly a month ago. It's amazing and I'm really happy that I have decided to buy it.

And also I got back to my cross stitching. Here is the process I managed to do in just two weeks. I'm really trying to get it finished fast because I have decided to start a Heaven and Earth design. But that will be another post ;)

And I also made a bag for spring. Although it's still winter outside. I can't wait for spring and it's really strange that it's still snowing at this time of the year.

So that is it for now :)

Just some random thoughts . . .

The past week or so I have been thinking a lot about what I want to do this year. I have so many ideas and even the supplies but I don't have time. I am always carrying a book with me for those moments when I need to wait for something or stand in a line at the post office. At home I'm also stitching, sewing or reading if I have any spare moments. But there is also work and after work there's making dinner, on the weekends it's cleaning etc. I think what I need is some sort of time managing strategy what would work for me. We'll see how that works :)

This year I have also taken part in this reading challenge. At the end of 2012 all the participants had to choose 12 books (you can't change the books later) they would read in 2013 and review them on their web page. The participants compete for the grand year prize and monthly prizes also. I hove this will help me read more books that I own (and that is a lot).  Your can read about it here.

So at the moment I am stitching a gift for my brother for his wedding. And it's very soon! I do hope that I'll be on time. I'll show it whne I'm finished :)

2012 - 2013

2012 has been a good year. I read 31 books. But in 2013 I'm planning to read only 25, because I don't think I'll have as much time and I chose longer books. Also I made a lot of bags and makeup bags. So in general I'm happy with that. Thought for 2013 I'm planning to go back to stitching. I need to finish the A. Mucha painting and a gift for my brothers wedding:)

Here is a pillow that I made for our living room. It's stitched on natural Lithuanian linen and I used Christmas themed cotton.

And two new makeup bags. I tried a new pattern for the first one.
