My first quilts

Just a quick post. I made these two quilts as a Christmas gift for my nephew and niece. They are my very first quilts :)

Sewing and cross stitching update

Here are some pictures of my recent sewing projects. My colleague from work got the orange bag. She fell in love as soon as she saw it :)

And then the same colleague asked if I could cross stitch something for here. So here it is. I don't have a framed picture, because I gave it to her and she ordered the frame herself.

2012 - 2013

2012 has been a good year. I read 31 books. But in 2013 I'm planning to read only 25, because I don't think I'll have as much time and I chose longer books. Also I made a lot of bags and makeup bags. So in general I'm happy with that. Thought for 2013 I'm planning to go back to stitching. I need to finish the A. Mucha painting and a gift for my brothers wedding:)

Here is a pillow that I made for our living room. It's stitched on natural Lithuanian linen and I used Christmas themed cotton.

And two new makeup bags. I tried a new pattern for the first one.

Updating and relaxing

Just some photos from my weekend. It was really nice and relaxing. Spend some time at home and at the countryside. Though it is cold already it's soooo nice to light up the fireplace there and just relax, reed a good book (Divergent), do some stitching.

At the moment I'm sewing squares for my quilt :) It's far from good, but I'm not going to give up - I will finish it :)

Makeup Bags

TUSAL and Dora Doll

So here is another TUSAL post. Haven't filled the glass much, this month I didn't stitch as much as I had to. I'm really falling behind, not sure if I'll be on time for my bet. So here's the glass and my process.

BUT this month I made the Dora doll. So here she is :) I didn't like her at first, but the end result was good. The little girl really liked her new doll. She is sleeping with Dora and bringing her to the kindergarten. I'm really glad I could make a little girl so happy.

Also made a few makeup bags for my colleagues at work.

My boyfriend and I took up apartment gardening this year. This is my first time trying to grow something at home, so far I think that we need more practice:)
