Sewing and cross stitching update

Here are some pictures of my recent sewing projects. My colleague from work got the orange bag. She fell in love as soon as she saw it :)

And then the same colleague asked if I could cross stitch something for here. So here it is. I don't have a framed picture, because I gave it to her and she ordered the frame herself.

Back to things

I haven't posted in a very long time. Time just flew by and I didn't even notice. But during this time I attended my brothers wedding, it was sooo nice. I even caught the bridal bouquet ( second time in a year) :)

I have also been reading a lot. I managed to read 4 book in a months time. And that is all thanks to my Kindle Paperwhite. I got it exactly a month ago. It's amazing and I'm really happy that I have decided to buy it.

And also I got back to my cross stitching. Here is the process I managed to do in just two weeks. I'm really trying to get it finished fast because I have decided to start a Heaven and Earth design. But that will be another post ;)

And I also made a bag for spring. Although it's still winter outside. I can't wait for spring and it's really strange that it's still snowing at this time of the year.

So that is it for now :)

2012 - 2013

2012 has been a good year. I read 31 books. But in 2013 I'm planning to read only 25, because I don't think I'll have as much time and I chose longer books. Also I made a lot of bags and makeup bags. So in general I'm happy with that. Thought for 2013 I'm planning to go back to stitching. I need to finish the A. Mucha painting and a gift for my brothers wedding:)

Here is a pillow that I made for our living room. It's stitched on natural Lithuanian linen and I used Christmas themed cotton.

And two new makeup bags. I tried a new pattern for the first one.

Updating and relaxing

Two new makeup bags. Love those floral prints. I got it on etsy

I updated my shop with those bags :) You can find them and more here .

Just some photos from my weekend. It was really nice and relaxing. Spend some time at home and at the countryside. Though it is cold already it's soooo nice to light up the fireplace there and just relax, reed a good book (Divergent), do some stitching.

At the moment I'm sewing squares for my quilt :) It's far from good, but I'm not going to give up - I will finish it :)

Just a few things

Just a few things I made at the end of summer. And now I'm looking for some ideas for Christmas gifts.

Big Green Ruffle Bag

Here is another bag that I came up with and I am actually really proud of this one. When I saw this fabric an idea flashed into my mind and I started sewing as soon as I got home. This fabric is much stronger than the ones I used to work with. And for extra sturdiness I added cotton wadding.

The ruffle part was the most fun to make. I thought it will take some time, but it turned out it is easy, fast and fun! I also added different pockets: 3 interior pockets in the front and 2 in the back. This time no exterior pockets. You can find it in my etsy shop. Yes, that's right, I opened my own shop :) Lain bags and accessories

I bought different colors of this fabric, but for now I am out of ideas what to make with them. So I guess that I'll just wait for the inspiration to come back again (it tends to disappear from time to time).

And yet I need to focus because I have a custom order for a bag. It will be a challenge since I have never done something like this specific bag before (my customer has a specific idea about the bag).
I will come back with the finished bag to show.

My big blue bag

I started working on a new bag and this is what I came up with.

I am really proud of this one since it’s my first one with a shape like this. I love the colour and I think the size is perfect. It fits all the things you might need… books, laptop and everything else you can think of :) There are 2 open pockets inside the bag, no zipper pocket this time. And you can see a lovely wooden button :)

Inspiration could come more often ©

Ideal for everyday, great for vacation :)

The New Beach Bag

A large, fully-lined beach bag. It's perfect for weekend getaways, trips to the beach, or to the market. It has an inside pocket.

Perfect for a day at the beach :)
